I can’t help but think about photographs without smiling. For me, it began with the row of neatly lined photo albums my mother had amassed, lining a shelf leading down to my childhood basement. Through the years, my siblings and friends would randomly pull one out and sit on the landing giggling and critiquing every hairdo and every outfit from birth through high school.
The thing is They were so much more than just pictures on a page. They ignited my senses, bringing me back to the places and events that made up our everyday lives. At my wedding shower, my mother culled through those special albums and made a scrapbook for me, chronicling my life. When I became a mother, I knew I wanted to give my children that same gift and that’s when my love of taking photos began. My husband jokes that there isn’t a day of their life that hasn’t been captured and glued to a page in their scrapbooks!
I soon discovered I had an eye for capturing small moments, the ones that linger in your head and make you smile every time you think about them. From the way your child looks at you when neither of you realize the camera is pointed in your direction to perfectly posed smiles and giggles, my favorite thing about photography is capturing those moments for you so you’ll have them to share and cherish through the years. I cant wait to show my children all the moments I have captured and printed for them.
I’m available for maternity, newborn photos, family photos and parties of all kinds. My pledge to you is to get the photos YOU want and maybe even a few you never even thought about! Candid, funny moments mean as much to most people as posed pictures. To this day, my mother’s favorite picture of me is not in a cap and gown or a group of girls in sparkly prom gowns but of me wearing a weed whacker box covering my entire body with only my sneakers showing.
